The beginning of my week has now been Saturday when receiving email of your updated music journal, that indeed keeps me company for week after week.
Repeatedly listening to this week’s episode of “the Distance Between” by Adrian Munsey, totally reflects to “new reality now” : “social distancing”. Sort of I can imagine Adrian Munsey’s inspiration by landscape, longing for solitary. Thinking of solitary that we are all in the mid of it. Aga Khan Museum in Toronto brings out the theme of this week “love” from Courtly Love in Medieval Islam and Christendom, the many shades of love to crazy in love.
西崎崇子’s 梁祝charms my heart for whole last week, following with soothing melody of Adrian Munsey’s “the Distance Between”. How much more comforting we can get !
Like to share the poem on a Folio from a manuscript : the most known Islamic lovers Layla and Majnun, which illustration depicting Majnun in the wilderness:
‘With a group of wild beasts taking refuge like Majnun from this oppressive world,
My time of getting acclimated to the meadow of sorrows is drawing closer.’
